people who undermine the importance of izuku and katsuki's relationship throughout bnha because of "annoying shippers" or because they just don't like katsuki are insane because their relationship is literally so? important??? to the entire story???? katsuki is the deuteragonist of bnha. he was one of the first characters to show up. he was the first other person to know about OFA. so much of the manga is spent showing his development. if you deny his character development and relationship development ("relationship" does not always mean romantic relationship) with izuku, you are quite literally denying a massive part of the series. the manga starts with them and ends with them. you're allowed to dislike him but if you dislike him so much that you, in turn, start hating how izuku is a "punching bag" or a "doormat" for the entire series because he doesn't stay angry and vengeful at people even though a massive part of his character is that he's compassionate and kind even to people who aren't to him or used to not be, and you seriously think that that makes him weak, and you just start to dislike the main two characters of the series, i think you should. idk. stop reading, probably. read the revenge fantasy shit that you obviously want to read. there are like seven million manhwa available to you where the character gets the revenge you so desperately want to see.

hi guys i'm absolutely so embarrassed and ashamed to be asking this, but if you could send me anything, any amount of money to help pay for summer classes i have to take and payments i have to make for for physical health, i will be so astronomically grateful. i've had a long journey with different health problems and doctors appointments, and course payments (which some of you know the history of) and my spendings are running very very low where it's very hard to sustain myself, my health, and my education.
struggles economically and financially are so very real and sometimes they're so hard to seek help for because of the embarrassment that comes with it. i would never ask for anything if i didn't need it for my health or education. i would never resort to this if i didn't think it was one of the only options i had left.
your most valuable donation to me is support and kind words, but of course if you could give anything i would be beyond grateful.
my venmo is @marawrs, and if any other method works better for you please let me know. i am so grateful for all of you and all the support you have shown me over the years. i will forever be thankful for all of you.

ETA:
Employees of UNRWA were accused of having been directly, actively involved in the October 7th attacks. In nine cases, the evidence was strong enough that the UN fired those people.
You may say that 9 out of all the employees in Gaza (13k or so?) isn't that much, but in my opinion, the number of terrorists and murderers employed by an UN charity should be ZERO.
So yk. Decide for yourself whether that's a charity you want to give money to.
I am Amira, the breadwinner for my family after my father's death. We were forced to flee to the southern part of Gaza after the war intensified. Our home, my university, and my workplace were bombed😢.
We are now in desperate need to escape this danger and continue my dream and educational and professional journey💔. I kindly ask you to donate or share the campaign link. Your support can save our lives and give us a chance to live in peace🍉.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart🙏.
Hey folks! Let's have a quick conversation about charity scams, because God love you little peanuts but you are spraying my dash with this "Save Amira/Noor/Abdullah's family/etc" shit these days.
In brief: if you want to help the people of Palestine, give to a legitimate organization, like the UNRWA (as I have). Individual "Palestinians" or "Palestinian families" reaching out to solicit donations are overwhelmingly going to be scams.
"But I reblogged it from someone who said that this fundraiser was verified!" The person saying that is either (1) in on the scam, (2) actively the one running the scam, or (3) painfully naive. "Verified" by who? How? They never say. It's always just some shit like "I've known Amir for 12 years and he's like a brother to me, that's how I know his heart is true." I can say that too. I just made Amir up, but our bond is real and his Facebook profile is 100% legitimate. Please consider his need for €30,000 verified.
I get it, I really do. You want to DO something to alleviate all some of this suffering, and helping an individual or a specific family feels more real than giving to a faceless organization. That's why those "for only one dollar a day, you can feed this specific photogenic child in Africa, who will make you a piece of bespoke macaroni art as a token of his love and gratitude" organizations do so well. Attaching a face to the suffering motivates donors. Reputable charities like Save The Children know that, and so do scammers.
But when you allow scammers to take advantage of your empathy and your desire to help, you are directing money away from the people who need it. You are directing energy away from where it would do some good.
Charity scams have surged since Israel's invasion of Gaza. Some scammers set up entire fake websites pretending to be legitimate relief organizations. Some scammers hack or spoof legitimate Palestinians' e-mail and social media accounts in order to solicit donations. But all of that is a lot more work than putting together a photo collage of some rubble + some attractive Arabic-looking people in what plausibly might be Gaza, setting up a GoFundMe, and copy-pasting the same message to a few hundred or thousand accounts on social media. Like...this is literally the lowest effort scam out there. Social media monitoring tools have tracked a 40% increase in scam-related content since the "All Eyes on Rafah" movement gained momentum.
Some of these Rafah crossing GoFundMes are legitimate. It is deeply unfortunate that there is no easy way to tell them apart from the frauds which vastly outnumber them. For those who are pained by these appeals for aid, and want to give to an individual or a family instead of a reputable relief organization, please consider:
There are more than 800,000 refugees in Rafah at this point.
Egypt only lets a very small number of people through the crossing every day. I've read numbers as low as 150 and as "high" as "a minimum of 500," with 250 being the figure reported most.
Every one of those people needs to pay between $6000 and $15000 to make the list. If you get added to the list but miss your window, due to lack of internet connectivity or, you know, any of a hundred other reasons why the people in Rafah might not be able to check a fucking website right now, you lose your place, lose your money, and have to start the whole process again.
To put it bluntly: every person who pays to make the Rafah crossing is taking one of a horrifyingly small number of slots away from the other 800,000 refugees, and it's not even a guarantee of escape. And the more money that gets funneled into this process, the higher that price will rise, as corrupt and opportunistic travel agencies and Egyptian officials gouge desperate people for as much as they can get.
This is not an effective way of spending your money. Unless it's for your personal family, in which case, yeah, obviously you do everything you can to get these people specifically out of Rafah. But if you just want to "help the Palestinians?" You're not.
Which brings us to Amira here!
Clicking through to Amira's GoFundMe brings you to this little gem, organized by an "Abdallah Alanqar," which features the kind of writing I'm more used to seeing from clickbait retellings of Reddit posts designed to get you to look at ads.
"When sorrow and difficulties strike hard, hope becomes the lone star in the dark sky. This is the story of Amira, a 23-year-old girl who found herself bearing the burden of her family after her father's death three years ago due to the coronavirus."
Tumblr media
Am I...am I meant to believe this is her bedroom? Amira's personal bedroom? This is clearly catalogue photography.
"After her father's passing, Amira found herself taking care of her family, consisting of her mother, sister Noor, and brother Abdulrahman. Her mother, suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes, faces health problems that further complicate their situation. But courage and determination drive Amira forward."
Tumblr media
Good, great, well-lit stock footage of rubble, gotta have some of that. The same photo collage is also used in this GoFundMe for "Mohammed Alanqer," also run by "Abdallah Alanqar." That one's a little better, Abdallah clearly at least raided someone's actual Facebook page for family photos. Amira's here has no photos of her at all, and just one selfie on her Tumblr.
Mohammed also has a Tumblr! The pinned post starts with: "Hello, my name is Mohammed Alanqar, and I am from Gaza Palestine 🇵🇸. I write to you today with a heavy heart💔, seeking hope and help. The ongoing conflict has put my family's life in grave danger🙏." Weird how this ostensibly 36 year old man writes exactly like our 23 year old Amira.
Also, if you go to Mohammed's Instagram, it's 100% interior design photos from either AI or magazines - you know, the kind of stuff you usually see on fake Instagram accounts - until July 12th, at which point it suddenly switches to tons and tons of photos of this one Arabic family. I hope they're alive, whoever they are.
It goes without saying that if you Google any of the names of the people mentioned in these GoFundMes, the only thing that comes up is the GoFundMe and the promotional social media surrounding the GoFundMe. That's weird, right? Mohammed ostensibly had a start-up (not that we're told what it was called). Amira was a student. You'd expect that Googling their names would turn up something.
Anyway, back to Amira.
"Amira worked as a teaching assistant at the university while pursuing a master's degree in data science, and also worked as a programmer in a company. Her life was going smoothly until war came and destroyed everything."
Just "the university" and "a company." No details, nothing that would let us actually look up if Amira exists or not. (They also include more stock footage of rubble here, I'll spare you.)
"Her university, workplace, and home were completely destroyed, forcing them to flee south in search of a safe haven. Now, Amira and her family live in tents for displaced people in Deir al-Balah, where they suffer from water shortages and the spread of diseases, posing an additional challenge, especially for her immunocompromised mother."
Tumblr media
Note that they don't say fled south from where. I'm not sure about the relevance of the photos here; is this supposed to be depicting the dirty, abysmal conditions in Deir al-Balah? Because this is just what outdoor cooking looks like. I had an identical meal in the backyard of a Lebanese family I knew growing up. This looks like a nice day. The close crops + blurred edges on these photos are there to make it harder to find the original images sources, btw.
Blah blah blah, you get the picture. This is nothing. Amira doesn't exist.
"But her post says she was vetted!"
Sure enough, her pinned post does feature this:
Tumblr media
I don't know any of these people offhand and wouldn't blindly trust them with my money, so let's dig a little deeper, shall we?
Nabulsi's post is not "vetting." It is an uncritical reposting of the information (and images...) in Amira's GoFundMe, without any additional comment or context.
Fairuzfan's post is just a wordless reblog of - oh, what's this? A post by "Ameera Alanqar," as in, our OP? Just a different blog run by our good friend Amira here? And all of the posts on that blog are about Amira and Mohammed, and how much of your money they need?
Sar-soor's post is just a wordless reblog of Nabulsi's post. Again, no context or further information provided.
Aaand 90s-ghost's post is just a wordless reblog of the same post, again, reblogged from @amira-alanqar, a blog which has now been deleted. Add it to the list with @amira-world and @ameera-anq.
I found another deleted blog called @palestinian-fundraising which put a big "VERIFIED AS REAL" stamp in red across the bottom of these posts, with a link that just goes back to...Nabulsi's reblog. None of this is vetting. None of this is anything.
I know you're upset. I know you just want to help! I know you want to do anything, even if it's small, even if it's just reblogging the words of some desperate young woman or family man in the hopes that it gets them a tiny bit closer to safety and peace. But you are accomplishing nothing but putting money into the pockets of scammers. Amira's GoFundMe has raised €17,826. "Mohammed's" GoFundMe has raised €48,958.
Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop.

I see a lot of videos about Gaza fundraising on TikTok that start with “please don’t scroll, if you scroll you’re taking away funds from a family is Gaza, and that’s on your conscious” and I really wish TikTok would have a discussion about that kind of language at the start of your posts and how it harms more than it helps 😭😭😭
Of COURSE people are scrolling past because that’s what they do when you start a video with “please don’t scroll” and of course they don’t want to engage with you when you’re shaming them for not wanting to watch your video. Like. Thanking someone for watching and the like is much more effective for engagement and the videos I see about Gaza fundraising that DONT include the “don’t scroll or you’re a bad person” stuff at the start have much much more engagement

1k+ notes over a day, only for the fundraiser to barely have moved at all in 12 hours.
I don't know maybe you are tired of hearing about Siraj Abudayeh ( @siraj2024 ) but you have to remember that he is trying to survive through a genocide. I can guarantee you that he doesn't like asking for help either, rather everyday he struggles to reach out to people. I mean it is kind of horrible to have gone through Zionist harassment and then finding out that people have stopped responding to you in every way. It kills something inside, especially so soon after finding out that the occupation forces have once again bombed your already destroyed house for no purpose at all, except to flex their power .
Right now Siraj's family is struggling to make do. With the early set in of torrential rains, they don't know what is going to happen. They don't know if the 10 children of the family and the elderly parents will survive through this incoming winter! It is so horrible to have to beg for a chance to survive. So horrible to explain every detail of your life, your every action which in this case entails why he had to increase the end goal of the campaign. I don't know why the donations have stopped but you do realize that he wouldn't be bothering any of you if a settler colony was not bent on destroying Gaza to cement its existence right? He would have been in his home. His kids, his nephews and nieces would all be in the home he took a decade of pain to built. They wouldn't be terrified of the harsh winter ahead and that house of theirs would have given shelter to generations!
Siraj is begging you to donate so that he may buy shaders to water proof his tent. If in the next week the rains start without mercy, then the family at least wouldn't have to worry about leaks of icy water.
$80,121 / $82,000 CAD
1.8k to go. Please help Siraj reach the goal BY TOMORROW so that he may at least buy the shaders to waterproof the tent. Boost and Donate.

Is seeing the same post on your dash tiring for you?
What do you think Palestinians feel after almost a year of the same bombs that sometimes even drop on the same place, same lies about a 'ceasefire', same same indifference towards their suffering?
Just because a post highlighting a fundraiser was made a day, a week, a month ago doesn't mean it's not worth sharing. So many campaigns were created months ago and received little or no support at all. All while needing funds more than ever.
Just in the last 24 hours IOF committed 4 massacres, resulting in 23 martyrs and 101 injuries - and that's just the people who could reach the hospitals or were found; many are still under the rubble or blocked from ambulances in other ways.
"The toll from the "israeli" aggression has risen to 41,638 martyrs and 96,460 injuries since October 7th of last year." - from today's Palestinian Ministry of Health news. And again, that's the people they could count - people whose scattered remains were dug up by their families, people who were injured and died while on their way to the hospital or in it (either from wounds or getting bombed in there too).
IOF sees your indifference and continues it's aggression on Lebanon. After all, if they can get away with a year (76 years) of genocide, why not start another one?
Only 3 days ago I've made a vent post [here] about how a fundraiser I've been spotlighting received less and less donations in the last week. And guess what? It still gets some reblogs. And guess what? It's stagnating again despite that.
If you can share the same 'tumblr heritage' post time and time again, if you can share same posts from various gimmick blogs, you can handle some repetition on your dash. In fact, you can also handle a small donation to a Palestinian fundraiser (if you can't then it's fine and you DO NOT need to comment that. In fact, you shouldn't.)
Please share this post and donate to Palestinian fundraisers, including Falastin's:
Keep in mind CONVERSION RATES:
10$ = 101 SEK
25$ = 253 SEK
50$ = 506 SEK
100$ = 1,012 SEK
I've talked about it before numerous times, a lot of info can be found on this post [here].
Vetting info: #282 in El-Shab-Hussein and Nabulsi's spreadsheet [here], #957 in the Butterfly Project spreadsheet [here]
I do semi-regular art updates (last one [here]) and accept commissions for proof of donations, please dm me for info as my art blog was terminated.

Oct 19 done laptop goal, campaign could use more support.
See this post and my rb here
Laptops are nearly indespensible in modern education, which treats it as a given that all students have one.
Have you ever needed to do schoolwork with only a phone? If not, I can tell you from experience that it's inefficient and really fucking sucks!
Reema's an evacuated Palestinian studying pharmacy in Egypt, and this is what she's been going through for an entire month because she lost her laptop in Gaza.
If you cannot fathom the horror of surviving a genocide, then try relating to this: She's currently trying to study for multiple chemistry midterms on a phone. One of them is medicinal chemistry, which is considered even harder than organic chemistry (which I've heard is notoriously bad).
This is happening while her sister was very recently hospitalized and her family had to pay it off with funds from their budget. She's worried about her sister's condition, her family members still in Palestine, her uncertain financial state, and much more.
We can ease her stress a little by getting her a laptop to study with, and I'd like to get this done by Oct 20.
@reemagaza / Operation Olive Branch #18 / more details / gfm: Credit/debit / Paypal: my Kofi, I'll donate whatever Paypal doesn't take and post proof of donation within 3 days under the 'receipts' tag.

It is very easy to support Free Palestine.
It is very easy to point out that the Israeli government is committing genocide. And it is very easy to demand representatives stop sending millions of dollars to them.
It is really fucking stupid to start throwing personal lenses that require history lessons amd contextualization because then the point that Palestinians are being mass murdered and Jewish people are dying from retaliation gets completely washed out and becomes secondary to shit arguments.
(It's really fucking stupid for my Native community to frame this as an indigenous fight because it's not. An oppressed group that was forced into diaspora was given the opportunity by European power to use their settler-colonial methodology to recreate their home by oppressing others).
Being an ally or an advocate or an activist or an accomplice or whatever the fuck you want to call it *is not about centering yourself*. You don't fucking matter in this shit because *it's not about you*. So stop fucking acting like it is. Your opinion doesn't matter, your understanding of the issue doesn't matter, your compararive adjacency *doesn't matter*, because this *is not your experience*.
You need to be creating space for the voices of those *actually* dealing with the impact of this. *That* is what Palestinians have continuously asked for. Even the fucking DecolonizePalestine website people keep throwing around (and I've used it too) *really fucking clearly* says over and over again that reframing the situstion *actively detracts* from attention to what's going on.
Stop making shit up to feel better about yourself.
It is very easy to support Free Palestine.
It is very easy to point out that the Israeli government is committing genocide. And it is very easy to demand representatives stop sending millions of dollars to them.
That's all you need to say - no erasure of history or muddifying context that "complicates" the point or requires more to be said to "understand" the point that Palestinians are being mass murdered and Jewish people are dying from retaliation.
No more of your own ideological bullshit, no less than clear support.
